Champagne Sports Resort :: 15-19 April 2007
The annual HOLE-IN-ONE CHALLENGE tournament of the South African Hole-in-One Society will be held at the spectacular Champagne Sports Resort from 15 to 19 April 2007. For the first time members will have the choice of either staying in the hotel, staying in their own timeshare accommodation or staying in 3 bedroomed/ 3 bathroom chalets at the resort. This flexibility allows members to match requirements (and budgets) and we once again look forward to a large field for this wonderful event.

The programme for this very special tournament is:

Friday 13 April: Package 1 guests arrive and check in. Dinner is included.

Saturday 14 April: Optional golf, or the chance to simply relax and enjoy the mountain air. Breakfast and Dinner is included.

Sunday 15 April: Guests arrive and check-in. This afternoon we have a 9-hole “warm-up” competition, although guests are welcome to play an optional extra 9 holes. Please be sure to advise the Society office if you wish to play 9 holes prior to the afternoon’s round. Non- golfers are invited to afternoon tea and with the organisers… the ideal opportunity to meet new friends and renew old friendships. Prize-giving and dinner on the terrace of the golf clubhouse, with live entertainment and the magnificent Drakensberg as the back-drop bring the first day to an end.

Monday 20 March: Today’s golf format is a Stableford Alliance competition, brought back after many requests from members. Non-golfers will be able to enjoy a fun-filled morning of entertainment. The traditional Society Shootout will be held immediately after the day’s golf and prizegiving follows immediately in the clubhouse The well-know local restaurant, Thokozisa, has been booked out for our evening function, and if this year’s visit to the restaurant is anything to go by, a wonderful evening awaits us.

Tuesday 21 March: Today is a Betterball Stableford competition, with theindividual scores counting as the first round of the Hole-in-One Challenge. The final 18 holes of the Challenge will be played on Wednesday. The non-golfers’ programme for today holds asurprise and they can look forward to the usual fun and laughter. Dinner and prize-giving with live entertainment round off the day.

Wednesday 22 March: Today is the final round of the Hole-in-One Challenge (the first round will be played as a component of the BetterballStableford on Tuesday) the format is Individual Stableford competition for A, B and C Divisions as well as a separate prize-table for the non-members. Another morning of fun has been arranged for the non-golfers with loads of sparkle. The tournament comes to an end with a prize-giving lunch on the clubhouse terrace and the official prize-giving for the individual Stableford competition.
