About the SA Hole-in-One Society
The South African Hole-in-One Society is widely regarded as the most successful and most active society of its kind in the world. Launched in 1990, the Society has grown steadily over the past 16 years and has rewarded a staggering 11 000 South African golfers for their unique achievement during that time.

The Society rewards its members in a variety of ways:

The main events in the Society’s history:
» August 1990: THE Society was launched at the Wanderer’s GC with a Pro Am and Vivienne player as the guest speaker. The late Des Humphries celebrated the day by scoring his first hole-in-one.
» 1991: The Society’s first tournament was staged at the Fish River Sun
» 1993: Society members traveled overseas for the first time. The Ryder Cup at The Belfry was the highlight of the tour.
» 1995: Society members experienced the magic of The Open at St Andrews and seeing John Daly lifting the trophy.
» 1998: The Society moves from Johnnie Walker to Fish Eagle
» 2001: The Society’s tournament at Sun City attracts 190 golfers.
» 2001: The Society becomes an affiliate of the Worldwide Hole-in-One Society
» 2002: The Exclusive Collection is expanded to include casual clothing items
» 2003: The prestigious Hole-in-One Challenge tournament is introduced and the inaugural tournament is played at Fancourt
» 2004: The Society relinquishes Fish Eagle and becomes The South African Hole-in-One Society
» 2004: The Society visits St Andrews and members get the chance to play on the Old Course
» 2006: The Society’s first “Golf Week” is scheduled for the Western Cape
